Why guys? why?
I guess it leaves a horrible aftertaste , and yeah it makes people sad.. Congrats if that was your objective.
Nothing.

Its the big day here. The hype is just too much. They are giving free coffee to those who vote. Wasted the weekend, but it was a nice break. Just 19 days to India!
yo!
“I’m in this race not just to hold an office, but to gather with you to transform a nation.”
Was chatting with a junior form my college, suddenly was reminded of everything that happened till now for the past 5 years. Suddenly wanted those days back. Its crazy but all of a sudden I miss all things that I hated sometime back. I wanted my hostel room, my bed, that lousy mess food, that huge ground and everything Coimbatore. I know it’s weird.
Nostalgia for what we have lost is more bearable than nostalgia for what we have never had
Lost a lot things, gained a few more.. Fair..
It hit 3 deg today morning and they say its not even the start of winter.
Btw, a friend of mine pointed to this site. It lists the 10 hottest places on earth. 4 entries for tamil nadu.

“Winter either bites with its teeth or lashes with its tail”

For a simple soul who comes from regions of the planet where anything below 18 degrees is considered bone chilling, Life does throw up some sudden surprises. Yesterday it was a nice bangalorean 23-21 types , and then all of a sudden today it drops by 10 full degrees to form a weird ooty-n-windy-n-offseasonish type of chill.
And never ever try running to catch a bus when the climate is something close to this, it takes a full minute and a half to regain your breath.
“I like these cold, gray winter days. Days like these let you savor a bad mood.”
Even though one is fully funded, even when he is living a life free of cost, sometimes I just can’t help but get overwhelmed by the cost of livinig here!
A honest advice to folks, never try to convert the currency values, they are depressing.
A single coffee : 2$.
100 rupees for a single coffee! These are the days when I sorely miss the good old roadside tea shops. Gone are those wonderful days when 2 rupess could fetch you a wonderful tea!
“Through not spending enough we spend too much”
A quick whirlwind tour of Chicago the home of Jazz. Started at 8:30 AM and returned by 10:00 PM.
A city like Chicago deserves more than a week, esp the museums, amazingly maintained but definitely cannot be covered in 2 hours time. Their T-Rex fossil is world famous. Some of the Alaskan culture exhibits were mind blowing. Missed the Asian section and the African section completely.
Supposed to be a windy city but dint feel any wind. Somehow felt Chicago to be kind of lull, for some weird reasons I was shocked to see beggars who had ipods. One section of the city really looks amazing. Complete with mega structures. “Lake” Michigan does not in any way resemble a lake. Its huge. The trade mark L – trains are rusty and noisy but like I said they are a trade mark.
Things I missed:
* Art institute – My worst luck – all their van gough collection were shifted to Washington coz of some renovation.
*opera – A must visit
*Hancock tower.
*Science museum
*Field Museum {some sections of it}
* 2 hour open top double decked bus ride around the city.
* Hard rock cafe
* Jazz concert.
Never the less a great trip. A much needed break.
“We must go beyond textbooks, go out into the bypaths and untrodden depths of the wilderness and travel and explore and tell the world the glories of our journey.”
Well I tried telling you.
